Mr. Gaudette, director of Information Security at Dominion Virginia Power, is a founding member of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership. The overall mission of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership is to establish a trusted community of public and private sector cyber professionals, leveraging their experiences and knowledge base for the mutually beneficial advantage of information sharing, educational awareness, and enhancing the nation’s cyber security interests. Outreach to the community is also an integral part of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnerships focus; an example of which is the Cyber Security Forum that was sponsored at Deep Run High School for students enrolled in their Center for Information Technology program. Mr. Gaudette has been instrumental in the planning and development of the Virginia Cyber Security Partnership and their outreach activities and also in arranging internships through Virginia Dominion Power to university students, encouraging them to become aware of career paths in cyber security.
At a Virginia Cyber Security Partnership meeting held on October 16, 2013, Mr. Gaudette was given a certificate naming him the Richmond Division’s Director’s Community Leadership Award recipient. In the spring of 2014, Mr. Gaudette and other award recipients from across the country will be formally recognized by Director James B. Comey at a ceremony at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
