On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at approximately 9:40 a.m., an unknown male robbed the U.S. Bank branch located at 125 N. Broadway in Escondido, California. According to witnesses, the robber left a demand note but did not have a weapon. The robber thanked the teller for the cash and told another witness to have a nice day. The robber entered the bank wearing a wide-brim blue visor.
The robber left on foot with no vehicle visible and unknown direction of travel.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:

- Race: Black; medium complexion
- Age: Mid-50s
- Height: Approximately 6’0” tall
- Weight: Approximately 180-200 lbs.
- Build: Average
- Clothing: Wide-brimmed blue visor, blue shirt, blue jeans
- Tattoos: None visible
