Bail hearing to be held for Anthony Oddone, man convicted of choking off-duty officer

FARMINGVILLE - A Farmingville man convicted in the choking death of an off-duty Suffolk correction officer may now be heading home for Christmas
A bail hearing is being held for Anthony Oddone today as he waits for a new trial.
Oddone’s manslaughter conviction in the death of corrections officer Andrew Reister was tossed out by the court of appeals last week.
Reister was working as a bouncer when he was choked in 2008.
The court ruled errors were made during Oddone’s 2010 trial.
