Vincent Anthony Baiamonte III, age 27, of Hammond, Louisiana and with ties to the Houston, Texas area, was arrested yesterday evening, Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a result of information received from the public.
Baiamonte is currently being charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault by the Alpharetta, Georgia Police Department in connection with the armed robbery of a Wells Fargo bank there on September 30, 2013. Baiamonte is also being charged by the Roswell, Georgia Police Department for armed robbery in connection with the robbery of a CVS store which occurred there on October 1, 2013. Federal charges against Baiamonte are anticipated.
On Monday, September 30, 2013, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a lone white male entered the CVS store, located at 12070 Crabapple Rd., Roswell, Georgia, and, while brandishing a handgun, attempted a robbery. No injuries were reported during this attempted robbery.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at 11:13 a.m., this same individual entered the Wells Fargo bank, located at 12450 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, Georgia, and again brandished the same silver colored handgun while announcing a robbery. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the robber departed the bank without further incident.
Baiamonte is currently being held by Baton Rouge, Louisiana authorities where he will await extradition back to Fulton County, Georgia to face these charges.
