LINDEN - A Linden woman accused of killing four bulldog puppies has turned herself in.
Kimberly Matthews is charged with four counts of animal cruelty. Matthews posted a $2,000 bond and will make a court appearance on Oct. 22.
Her mother says the publicity forced her to turn herself in.

A witness says he heard Matthews arguing with her boyfriend, a dog breeder, on Sunday. The man says she gave him the four motionless dogs in a cooler and told him they were probably just sleeping.
But the man says when he touched them, he realized they were dead. Police say she may have suffocated the pups in the cooler.
