WOODBURY - If insurance companies haven’t given Long Islanders the cash they need after Hurricane Sandy, they could soon get thousands to rebuild.
This week, many residents will finally get letters telling them they’re finally going to get aid from the state's New York Rising program.
Nearly 4,000 homeowners will get an average of $110,000 to rebuild, according to Newsday. And the program is still taking applications.
Nassau is set to get $369 million; Suffolk will get $82 million.
