The FBI, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, and Pojoaque
Tribal Police Department are looking for a woman who robbed a Wells
Fargo bank branch in the Pueblo of Pojoaque on the afternoon of Tuesday,
May 14, 2013.
The suspect is described as a Native American or Hispanic female, approximately 5’3” tall, with a medium to heavy build.
She wore sunglasses, a black and white bandana around her head, a white surgical mask over her face, blue gloves, a dark hooded sweatshirt, light colored pants, and dark shoes.
The suspect may have acne scars on her face.
Witnesses say the suspect entered the bank on 3 W. Gutierrez St. (Santa Fe mailing address) at approximately 2:13 p.m.
She showed a handgun and demanded a teller put money in a white bag the suspect was holding.
The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
She may have fled in a white, crew-cab GM or Chevrolet pickup truck last seen heading eastbound into a residential area.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense, and the penalty increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office at (505) 428-3720.
The FBI may pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
