Firefighters, police find body encased in cement in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY - A man's body was found encased in concrete in his Jersey City home after police were asked to check on his well-being.
Homicide detectives from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrived at 55 Corbin Ave. today to investigate the death.
Authorities say a building employee who visited the apartment Monday became concerned when another man answered the door and said the tenant was away on a long vacation. Police were then called to the apartment, where they discovered the man’s body under a pile of laundry and a layer of concrete.
