Northern Arapaho Man Sentenced for Abusive Sexual Contact
United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced today that on May
22, 2013, Starr Dana Miller, a 20-year-old enrolled Northern Arapaho
man from Arapahoe, Wyoming, appeared in Federal District Court for
sentencing before United States District Judge Alan B. Johnson on a
single count of abusive sexual assault in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§
2244(a)(2) and 1153. Miller was sentenced to time served, seven months
of home confinement, five years of supervised release, and was ordered
to pay a $100 special assessment and restitution in the amount of
$2,467. The charge stemmed from an event which occurred on October 13,
2012, on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The case was investigated by
the Federal Bureau of Investigation with substantial assistance of the
Bureau of Indian Affairs.
